Introduction
Welcome to the "Mindset & Money Mastery" series!
In this section, we bring you powerful lessons from books like Atomic Habits and Rich Dad Poor Dad. Learn how small habits can create big change, and how shifting your mindset can lead to real wealth and freedom.
In every corner of the world, there are people who rise from humble beginnings to greatness. I, Protais, am walking that journey. I have no silver spoon, but I do have something more powerful: the wisdom from books and life itself. This post is not a lecture. It’s a mirror. A real-life story shaped by reading powerful books like Atomic Habits, Think and Grow Rich, and living a life filled with lesson
The Turning Point – From Confused to Curious
I was once lost. After high school, life seemed silent and still. No job, no money, no mentor. But I had questions that became seeds of change:
- Who am I becoming?
- Is there something small I can do every day to change my future?
Then I read Atomic Habits by James Clear. The idea that "small daily improvements are the key to staggering long-term results" hit me like thunder. I started applying that idea. Waking up earlier. Reading one page per day. Saving 500 RWF a week
2: The Power of Dreams and Desire – Think and Grow Rich
Napoleon Hill teaches one powerful truth: “What the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve.” For me, this was not just motivation, it was an instruction. I wrote my dreams down. I started visualizing myself successful – not as fantasy but as preparation.
I wrote this question in my notebook: "If others did it, why not me?"
: Habits Built Me
Habits are the bricks of the life you're building. Every morning, I started my day with a glass of water, 5 push-ups, and reading one page. It wasn't easy, but it became normal. That’s when I understood the line: "You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems."
These habits were not dramatic. But they changed how I felt about myself. They gave me power.
4: Hustle with Purpose – Lessons from Life
Reading gave me mindset. Hustling gave me muscle.
I started doing small online gigs. I used free internet in a library to write blog posts, translate texts, and later, write ebooks. My first $3 online wasn’t just money. It was proof that effort plus knowledge equals results.
5: Asking Yourself the Hard Questions
- What would my future self thank me for?
- Am I learning or just scrolling?
- What’s stopping me from starting today?
Books can give you tools. Life gives you a mirror. If you keep reading but never doing, it’s like training without ever playing a match.
: Money is a Result, Not a Goal
After reading Rich Dad Poor Dad, I understood the difference between working for money and making money work for you. I stopped chasing money. I started chasing value.
I offered people what they needed – guides, ideas, motivation, writing. Then money followed.
Learning Never Ends
I started reading biographies. People like Elon Musk, Strive Masiyiwa, Oprah, and local Rwandan heroes. What did they have in common? Obsession with learning and action.
I turned my phone into a school: podcasts, eBooks, Twitter mentors.
8: Building Digital Hustle Hub
I wanted others to learn what I was learning. That’s how Digital Hustle Hub was born. I write, I post, I share lessons. Even if it inspires one person, it’s worth it.
DHH is not just a blog. It’s a voice for the silent dreamers.
9: Fail Forward
I’ve failed. A lot. Some ebooks didn’t sell. Some posts got zero views. But I kept going. I remember a quote from Les Brown: "It’s not over until I win."
Now, my blog is growing. People DM me for advice. Opportunities are opening.
10: Write Your Own Book
You don’t need to be rich to inspire. You need to be real. I started writing my own eBook, "I Wish, I Work, I Won" – and it’s not fiction. It’s life. My life.
So ask yourself: What will be the title of your life story?
Conclusion: Start Where You Are
You have a brain, a phone, and 24 hours. That’s more than many had. Start reading. Start writing. Start building. Start forgiving yourself.
Ask yourself every night: Did I grow today?
You can do more than survive. You can inspire.
